Hi, I’m Susanne — a biologist based in Norway with a deep love for nature and a passion for capturing its beauty through art and poetry.

Growing up, I was mesmerised by the natural world, watching Animal Planet and observing wildlife whenever I could. Nature wasn’t just something around me — it was something I needed to understand. That curiosity led me to study biology, where I found myself increasingly drawn to conservation — and to the urgent question of how humans affect the natural systems that sustain us all.

For a long time, creativity took a back seat to the busyness of life. Then, during a university lab exercise — drawing specimens observed through a microscope — something woke back up in me. In that quiet act of looking closely and putting pencil to paper, I rediscovered a part of myself I hadn’t realised I’d missed.

Now I bring both sides of myself together. The scientist and the artist. The observer and the creator. Through my work, I hope to share the wonder I feel for the natural world — its complexity, its fragility, and its breathtaking beauty — and to spark conversations about the very real challenges it faces today.

When I’m not drawing or writing, you’ll find me hiking through the beautiful Norwegian landscapes, diving beneath the surface, or simply being present — usually with my two cats nearby.
